Helping children, young people and their parents
Oliver Foster is a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist who has worked in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health for 25 years. He started his professional life working with very young children and their parents in a number of different community settings. It was at this time that Oliver became interested in the lasting importance of the early years to emotional development throughout childhood and adolescence.
Oliver went on to train as a specialist Social Worker working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. He was involved in developing therapeutic services for vulnerable families. He later trained as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Society of Analytical Psychology in London. His clinical training combined both the in-depth understanding of Psychoanalysis and the creativity of Jungian Psychology.
Oliver has worked as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist in a variety of different professional settings. He has developed an expertise in working with children and young people experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties. Alongside his clinical work Oliver has taught on various therapeutic trainings and academic courses. He has been involved in the training of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists for many years.
