who we are
We are a group of independent Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists who are all members of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP). The ACP is the main professional body for psychoanalytic psychotherapists working with children and adolescents and is registered with the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
We are highly experienced group of professionals with many years of experience working in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health. We work with children at all stages of development from infancy through to adolescence. We also work with young people up to 25 years of age.
Our private practice is based in Exeter. We are dedicated to offering a compassionate and therapeutic service to children, young people and their parents. We endeavour to operate flexible fees for our services that take individual financial circumstances into account.
Founding Member
New Beginnings was founded by Oliver Foster in 2016. He is a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist who has worked in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health for 25 years.
In addition to his clinical work Oliver has taught on on a number of therapeutic trainings and academic courses. He has been involved in the training of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists for many years.
